Author Bio — Dr. Abudu John Igein
Dr. Abudu John Igein (Educational Psychology, PhD, ABD), also known as “Hollywood John,” is an author, screenwriter, educator, and instructional designer dedicated to storytelling, education, and community empowerment. He is the author of the selfpublished book Code 419: House Arrest (ISBN: 0-595-13045-3)
and has developed numerous manuscripts and screenplay projects spanning biography, social commentary, health education, and dramatic fiction.
Dr. Igein holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern University in New Orleans and a Master of Science in General Psychology from Walden University, Minneapolis. He is classified PhD, ABD at Walden University School of Behavioral Sciences, where he pursued studies in General Psychology with an Educational track. His academic training informs his work in instructional design, curriculum development, and creative writing education.
Known for his disciplined writing process, Dr. Igein is capable of producing a 120-page screenplay within three months and designing structured film and screenwriting curricula for online and in-person learning environments. His work bridges academic insight with cinematic storytelling, reflecting his passion for cultural narratives and global diaspora voices.
Beyond writing, Dr. Igein is a fierce advocate for community and individual empowerment and serves on the Board of Directors for AAAIMS, supporting educational and social
initiatives.
